Since 2018, our Gaziantep, Turkey workshop has produced shearling slippers like this one using techniques passed down across four generations of the same leatherworking family.
Why Calf, Not Buffalo
We use full-grain calf leather instead of split or bonded leather (and instead of the buffalo hide some competitors use). Full-grain keeps the outer fiber layer intact, so it's stronger, breathes better, and develops a natural patina instead of cracking.
