Bespoky Lifetime Craftsmanship Warranty

Every Bespoky shoe is hand-stitched by a 4th-generation Anatolian artisan in our Gaziantep workshop. Because we trust our craft, we back every pair with a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects in stitching and construction.

What the Warranty Covers

  • Hand-stitching defects — premature unraveling of hand-stitched seams, welt failure, or missing/loose stitches caused by craftsmanship error.
  • Construction defects — sole separation from upper when caused by adhesive or construction failure (not external impact).
  • Leather defects — splitting, cracking, or peeling of the upper leather within the first 12 months of normal wear.
  • Component failure — broken eyelets, defective elastic gores, or failed hardware within the first 24 months.

What the Warranty Does Not Cover

  • Normal wear-and-tear (sole wear, lining wear, leather patina).
  • Water damage from prolonged submersion or exposure to extreme conditions.
  • Color shift from prolonged sunlight or improper care.
  • Damage from customer alterations, third-party repairs, or improper cleaning products.
  • Cosmetic blemishes from accidental impact, abrasion, or chemical exposure.

How to File a Warranty Claim

  1. Contact our support team at hello@bespokyshoes.com with your order number.
  2. Include 3-5 clear photos of the issue (overall shoe, close-up of defect, sole, inside).
  3. Briefly describe how the issue developed and how the shoes have been worn and cared for.
  4. Our craftsmanship team reviews claims within 5 business days.
  5. Approved claims result in free repair, free replacement, or full refund — our choice based on the defect.

Resoling Service

Many Bespoky shoes use Goodyear-influenced welt construction, which means they can be resoled by any quality cobbler. We recommend resoling every 2–3 years for daily-wear shoes. This is not a warranty service — it is regular maintenance that extends the life of your shoes to a decade or more.

Our Commitment

Since 2018, Bespoky has partnered with a family workshop whose leather-working heritage spans four generations. We make shoes that should last — not be disposable. The warranty exists because we stand behind that craft.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What exactly does the Bespoky lifetime warranty cover?
A: It covers manufacturing defects for the life of the shoe — hand-stitching that unravels, welt failure, missing stitches, and sole separation caused by construction (not impact). Leather defects (splitting, cracking, peeling) are covered for the first 12 months of normal wear, and component failures (eyelets, elastic gores, hardware) for the first 24 months.

Q: How long is "lifetime" — is it really forever?
A: Lifetime means the functional lifetime of the shoe under normal wear. As long as the shoe is structurally repairable and you are the original owner, our craftsmanship warranty against manufacturing defects applies. Wear-and-tear items (soles, linings, patina) are not lifetime items — they are maintenance.

Q: What is NOT covered by the warranty?
A: Normal wear-and-tear (sole wear, lining wear, patina development), water damage from submersion, color shift from sunlight or improper care, damage from third-party repairs or harsh cleaning products, and cosmetic blemishes from accidents or abrasion.

Q: Do I need to register my shoes for the warranty?
A: No registration required. Your order confirmation email is your proof of purchase. Keep the order number — you will need it if you file a claim.

Q: Is the warranty transferable if I gift or resell the shoes?
A: No. The warranty applies to the original purchaser only. Please share your order details with the recipient if you give Bespoky shoes as a gift.

Q: How do I file a warranty claim?
A: Email hello@bespokyshoes.com with your order number, 3–5 photos of the defect (overall, close-up, sole, inside), and a short description. We respond within 5 business days.

Q: Will I have to pay shipping to send the shoes back?
A: For approved warranty claims, Bespoky covers return shipping in most countries. We will email you a prepaid label once your claim is approved.

Q: Will I get a repair, a replacement, or a refund?
A: We choose based on the defect. Most warranty cases are repaired by our atelier (often invisible after restitching). If a repair is not viable, we replace the pair in the same size or refund you in full.

Q: How long does a warranty repair take?
A: Typical end-to-end timeline is 3–5 weeks: 5 business days for our team to review, 1–2 weeks for transit, and 7–10 business days at the atelier for repair, plus return shipping.

Q: Is resoling part of the warranty?
A: No — resoling is maintenance, not a warranty repair. Most Bespoky shoes have Goodyear-influenced welt construction and can be resoled by any quality cobbler every 2–3 years for daily-wear pairs.

Q: Can Bespoky resole my shoes for me?
A: We do not currently offer a centralized resoling service from California. We recommend a local cobbler experienced in welted construction. We are happy to email guidance to your cobbler if needed.

Q: My dog chewed my Bespoky shoes — is that covered?
A: Sadly no. Accidental damage by pets, children, or external impact is not a manufacturing defect, so it is not covered. We can sometimes refer you to a specialty cobbler for cosmetic restoration.

Q: I bought my shoes from a third-party reseller — am I covered?
A: Our warranty only applies to pairs purchased directly from bespokyshoes.com. Pairs sold via grey-market sellers, marketplaces, or unauthorized resellers are not eligible.

Q: The leather developed a patina — is that a defect?
A: No — patina is the natural ageing of vegetable-tanned calf leather and is one of the reasons people choose Bespoky. A defect would be cracking, splitting, or peeling within the first 12 months of normal wear.

Q: What if my warranty claim is denied?
A: We explain the reason in detail and, where possible, offer a paid repair or replacement at a craftsmanship-cost discount. You can also request a second review by our atelier lead.
