Inside Our Workshops in Gaziantep and Istanbul
Bespoky shoes are made by hand, to order, in our own workshops in Gaziantep and Istanbul, Turkey. Our shoemakers come from a family with four generations of shoemaking craft. This page shows what happens in the workshop between your order and your finished pair.

One shoemaker, 10–14 hours
Your pair is not split across a production line. One shoemaker makes it from start to finish, and each pair takes 10–14 hours of handwork.
From leather to finished pair
- Preparing the leather — the hide is checked and prepared before cutting.
- Cutting — the panels are cut to pattern by hand.
- Stitching — the panels are stitched together to form the upper.
- Lasting — the upper is shaped over a foot-shaped last.
- Sole — the sole is attached and stitched to the upper.
- Finishing — edges, surface and stitching are finished and each pair is checked before it leaves the workshop.

Made to order
We do not mass-produce. Your pair is made after you order it, in the size and colour you choose.
Genuine leather, vegetable-tanned
Every Bespoky pair is made from genuine leather that is vegetable-tanned and chrome-free, and our shoes have a biodegradable construction. The exact leather and finish is listed on each product page, and our care guide explains how to look after it.
