Every Bespoky pair is made by hand, to order, in our own workshops in Gaziantep and Istanbul, Turkey. Here is how a pair goes from leather to finished shoe.

1. Preparing the leather

Each hide is checked and prepared before any panel is cut. Every Bespoky shoe is made from genuine leather.

2. Cutting

The panels for the upper are cut to pattern by hand, in the size that was ordered.

3. Stitching

The cut panels are stitched together to form the upper, and the sole is stitched to the upper.

4. Lasting

The upper is shaped over a foot-shaped last. On our barefoot styles the last gives the shoe its wide toe box and flat, zero-drop base.

5. Finishing and checking

Edges, surface and stitching are finished, and each pair is checked before it leaves the workshop.

Made to order

We make each pair after it is ordered. The process can vary by style — Oxfords, boots, sandals, slippers and Yemeni shoes each need different handling — but every pair is made by hand in our workshops.
