Materials & Construction
Each pair starts as vegetable-tanned calf hide from our 4th-gen tannery partner in Gaziantep. The hide is cut by hand, then stitched with waxed linen thread to a flexible sole. A pair takes 4-8 hours of hand-work — sandals require less material than full shoes but the same precise leather work.
Care Guide
Wipe with a soft dry cloth after each wear. Every 4-6 weeks, condition with neutral leather balm. Sandals develop patina quickly with sun exposure — embrace it. Avoid prolonged salt water. Air-dry away from heat. Full guide in our leather care guide.

Brief sand exposure is fine. Avoid prolonged salt water — it dries the leather. Rinse with fresh water and air-dry if exposed.
Good for wide feet?

How is the arch support?
Flat, zero-drop sole — same barefoot construction as our shoes. No raised arch. Transition gradually if coming from arch-supported sandals.
How long do they last?
5-8 years with care. Sole can be re-glued by a cobbler when worn through.
Can I wear them with socks?
Strap sandals and T-bar pairs aren't designed for socks. Slide-ons can work with low-profile cotton socks in cooler weather.

Calf is softer, breathable, develops a finer patina. Buffalo is too heavy for sandals.
