Since 2018, partnering with these workshops, we have built a collection of 45+ boot styles — Chelsea, ankle, mid-calf and barefoot pairs. Every pair features vegetable-tanned calf leather upper, a hand-stitched welt for resoling, anatomical wide toe box, and zero drop sole. Starting at $96, these are hand-stitched welted boots at the price of synthetic Vivobarefoot or Lems pairs.

How to Choose Your Women's Boots

For Daily Wear

Chelsea boots in smooth calf leather are the daily workhorse. 1.6-1.8mm calf upper, side elastic, hand-stitched welt. Pair with denim, midi skirts, or wool trousers.

Why Calf Leather, Not Buffalo

Calf hide is thinner (1.4-1.8mm vs 2.5-3.5mm buffalo), softer, and develops a richer patina. Buffalo is better suited to industrial work boots. Read our calf vs buffalo comparison.

Hand-Stitched in Gaziantep — Since 2018

Materials & Construction

Each pair starts as vegetable-tanned calf hide from our 4th-gen Gaziantep tannery. The hide is cut by hand, then stitched with waxed linen thread to a leather welt. A pair takes 8-12 hours of hand-work. Welted construction allows resoling for decades.

Care Guide

Wipe with a soft dry cloth after each wear. Every 4-6 weeks, condition with neutral leather balm. Apply leather wax before wet weather. Cedar shoe trees overnight maintain shape. Suede pairs need soft brush only. Full guide in our leather care guide.

Are they waterproof?

Water-resistant with conditioning and wax. Not fully waterproof — for heavy rain, choose smooth calf and apply leather wax.

Warm enough for winter?

Calf leather has natural insulation. Pair with wool socks for sub-freezing temperatures.

How is the sizing?

True to size with anatomical wide toe box. If between, size up half a size. 30-day returns.

Can I resole them?

Yes — hand-stitched welt allows sole replacement by a cobbler. Pairs last 5-10+ years with one resole.

Office-appropriate?

Chelsea and pointed-toe ankle pairs read as smart professional.

Good for wide feet?

Yes — anatomical wide toe box. Most wide-foot customers fit standard EU size.

Why Turkish calf leather, not buffalo?

Calf is finer, softer, ages better. Buffalo is too heavy and stiff for refined boots.
