Why Calf Leather, Not Buffalo

We use calf leather exclusively because the hide is thinner (1.4-1.8mm vs 2.5-3.5mm for buffalo), softer, and more breathable. Materials & Construction

Each pair starts as a flat piece of vegetable-tanned calf hide selected from our 4th-gen tannery partner in Gaziantep. The hide is cut by hand using paper patterns refined over generations, then stitched with waxed linen thread by an artisan whose father and grandfather did the same work before him. A single pair takes 6-12 hours of hand-work to complete. The hand-stitched welt is what makes our boots and Oxfords resoleable for decades.

Care Guide

Wipe with a soft dry cloth after each wear. Every 4-6 weeks, condition with a neutral leather balm — apply sparingly, buff out. Let leather rest 24 hours between heavy-wear days.
