Why Calf, Not Buffalo
Full-grain calf leather, not split leather or buffalo hide, is what goes into this boot. Because the outer fiber layer is untouched, it resists tearing and breathes far better than corrected-grain alternatives.

- Upper: brown full-grain leather, hand-cut and hand-stitched.
- Sole: flexible rubber outsole, a barely-there low heel, true zero drop from heel to toe.
- Closure: lace-up for a secure, adjustable fit.
- Toe Box: wide, foot-shaped last that lets toes splay naturally.
- Lining: breathable leather lining, no synthetic foam padding.
- Stitching: hand-stitched seams throughout, built pair by pair.

I've received complements on how they look. They feel amazing and I'm very happy with this purchase. I wish there was something I could do about protecting my toes more. I do some activities where things might land on my feet and I don't need steel-toed shoes, just something more substantial than a thin layer of leather. This is an issue with all my zero-lift shoes so it's no different here and I'm sure it would add weight to the shoe that might not please everyone. Just an issue for me.
I have various injuries to my foot and ankle. These boots have helped me return to dance with significantly less pain.

The sizing was a bit off for me. I had to size down. Also, the color was lighter than expected, but the seller let me exchange for a darker color and smaller size. Note that I measured as directed, but they were longer than I would normally want my shoes.
Look at size chart! They are beautiful sandals, but absolutely HUGE. I'm normally a size 40 (24.5x10) but I size down for sandals. These are comically enormous. I got a great deal and will resell them and continue my search for the perfect pair.
Such nice craftsmanship! I continue to have sizing issues because they are much bigger than expected, but turns out the size chart is foot size and not insole length! I wasn't aware. Next time I will get the right size and they'll be amazing when I can finally wear them!
