Leather barefoot shoes: calf leather, suede and nubuck
All shoes in this collection use genuine leather, and the finish changes the character of a pair. Calf leather has a smooth, even surface that suits oxfords and Chelsea boots. Suede has a soft, brushed surface, and nubuck is finely sanded on the outer side for a velvety nap. A few pairs use napa leather or woven leather. Compare finishes in suede barefoot shoes and nubuck shoes.
How the leather is made
The leather is vegetable-tanned, with no chrome used in tanning. Pairs are cut and sewn in workshops in Gaziantep and Istanbul, founded in 2018 by makers from a family with four generations of shoemaking craft, and each pair is made to order.
