We use calf leather exclusively because the hide is thinner (1.4-1.8mm vs 2.5-3.5mm for buffalo), softer, and more breathable. Materials & Construction

Each pair starts as vegetable-tanned calf hide from our 4th-gen tannery partner in Gaziantep. The hide is cut by hand using patterns refined over generations, then stitched with waxed linen thread by an artisan whose family has done the same work for decades. A pair takes 6-12 hours of hand-work.

Care Guide

Why Turkish calf leather, not buffalo?

Calf is thinner, softer, ages better. Buffalo is heavier and stiffer for industrial work boots.
